Are my images uploaded?
No. They are decoded and re-encoded right in your browser.
Which quality should I pick?
75 is a good default: files get several times smaller and the difference is hard to see. Go lower for web previews.
Why did a file get bigger?
It was already well compressed. If the same format doesn’t get smaller, we keep your original.
Is metadata removed?
Yes. Re-encoding drops EXIF data such as camera details and GPS location.
